Blue Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots silver 100% blue agave tequila
  • 1 shot blue curacao
  • Sour mix
  • Sea salt
  • Lime wedges

Directions:

  1. Pour sea salt into a wide bowl.
  2. Rinse margarita glasses with water.
  3. Dip the glasses into the bowl of salt, pushing the sides of the glass up against the salt.
  4. Put 2 ice cubes in each glass.
  5. Cut the lime wedges down the middle, but do not cut all the way through the peel. Put one on the rim of each glass.
  6. Combine tequila and blue curacao in 2 drink shaker. Add sour mix until shaker is full.
  7. Shake the shaker. When done, pour equal parts into each margarita glass.

Jalapeno Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 1 jalapeno
  • 2 shots silver 100% blue agave tequila
  • 1 shot triple sec
  • Sour mix
  • Sea salt
  • Lime wedges

Directions:

  1. Roughly chop half of the jalapeno.
  2. Combine with 2 shots of tequila in a mason jar, and let sit for at least 24 hours.
  3. Once you are ready to prepare, pour sea salt into a wide bowl.
  4. Rinse margarita glasses with water.
  5. Dip the glasses into the bowl of salt, pushing the sides of the glass up against the salt.
  6. Put 2 ice cubes in each glass.
  7. Cut the lime wedges down the middle, but do not cut all the way through the peel. Put one on the rim of each glass.
  8. Combine tequila and triple sec in 2 drink shaker. Add sour mix until shaker is full.
  9. Shake the shaker. When done, pour equal parts into each margarita glass.

Traditional Margarita

Sour Mix

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups lime juice
  • 2 cups lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Combine water and sugar in a large pot.
  2. Cook over low heat. Constantly stir mixture so that sugar does not stick to the bottom.
  3. Once all sugar is absorbed, remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Put sugar syrup into a 2 quart container.
  5. Add lime juice and lemon to the container.
  6. Stir, and refrigerate until ready to use.
